Commemoration Day – Wednesday 12 June 2013

The foundation of the University of Glasgow in 1451 is celebrated each year on Commemoration Day. In 2013, this will include:

  • Service for the Commemoration of Benefactors in the University Chapel at 9.45am
  • Graduation Ceremony for the conferment of Honorary Degrees in the Bute Hall at 11.00am
  • Lunch in the Hunter Halls

Please go to http://www.gla.ac.uk/commemorationday and complete the Booking Form, indicating the events that you will be able to attend on 12th June and if you would like to attend the lunch, please ensure that you complete the payment details. It would be appreciated if responses are received no later than Friday 17 May, in order that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Staff Academic Robe Hire

For gown hire, please email staffgowns@glasgow.ac.uk with a note of your height, degree and awarding University. Gowns can be hired for staff wishing to take part free of charge, but the order must be placed by the relevant deadline, or you will be charged.
