For whom: University staff or external organisations seeking to survey any group of the University’s students

Summary:

Formal approval is required before inviting the University’s students to participate in any survey which is not a “University Supported” project.  The University’s Policy on Student Surveys, which includes details of how to request approval to conduct a survey with students in relation to the following, is available here: 

• Externally-funded research projects that include an internal student survey element
• Surveys that form part of an undergraduate or postgraduate taught project
• Requests from external organisations to survey any group of the University’s student population
