Glossary of Terms occurring in the Regulations for Taught Degrees

For whom: All staff who may have occasion to refer to taught degree regulations.
Summary: The Glossary of terms was improved, extended and updated in 2007, in particular, to revise the definition of ‘course’ and ‘programme’ in accordance with Recommendation 48 of the Academic Structures Working Group report.
Further updates were made in 2010 and 2011 to reflect University restructuring and the removal of Schedule C from the Code of Assessment in 2011-12. Definitions relating to Honours degrees with multiple subjects have been added.
