Academic Promotion 2026
Academic Promotion 2026 is now open for applications.
The Academic Appointment and Promotion Policy sets out the principles that underpin a fair and transparent appointment and promotion process for all eligible academic staff. The promotion process is designed to recognise and reward excellent performance that supports the delivery of University objectives.
As communicated to colleagues on the 25th November 2025, Professorial Zone Movement is paused for AY 2025/26 to allow for a review of Academic Promotion and Zone Movement criteria and future cadence applied to these processes related to our maximising academic performance agenda.
