Financial Records

The Business Archives Council of Scotland held a joint event on Friday 25th November 2011 in the Tower Building, University of Dundee on Financial Records with the Archives and Records Association Scottish Region and sponsored by CAIS Dundee to introduce members of both organisations to the records of financial institutions.

It provided a ‘hands-on’ opportunity to use the records of the Alliance Trust, one of Dundee’s prominent Investment Trusts and learn more about using financial records and here about the writing of the history of the Alliance Trust.  

The day also included the Regional Meeting of the Association and the AGM of BACS.  The Annual Joan Auld lecture founded in memory of Dundee’s first University Archivist ended the day.  Details of the day are available in the programme for the Financial Records Conference.
