Job changes at the Healthy Cognition Lab

The Healthy Cognition Lab has welcomed a new member to their team: Maria Almudena Claassen, PhD, Postdoctoral Research Assistant (pictured on thumbnail).

Almudena studied Psychology at the University of Utrecht in The Netherlands, and obtained her MSc in Social and Health Psychology in 2014. She then proceeded to do a PhD at the University libre de Bruxelles, Belgium, where she examined the influence of perceived socioeconomic status on impulsivity and eating behaviors. She completed her PhD in 2019 and joined the Healthy Cognition Lab in April 2020.

Together with Esther Papies, she works on an ESRC-grant to examine psychological mechanisms underlying the motivation for consuming sugary drinks. If you have any questions for Almudena, you can contact her at mariaalmudena.claassen@glasgow.ac.uk

On June 1, RA Niklas Johannes will leave our team to take up an RA position at Oxford University. We thank Niklas for all the great work and contributions and wish him an enjoyable and successful time at Oxford!
