Philip Schlesinger delivered a plenary paper at the 7th Panamerican Conference in Communication Studies whose overarching theme was ‘Governance and Public Service Media in Knowledge Societies’. The conference was held at UQAM in Montreal on 16-17 July 2015. Philip's contribution discussed political, economic, social and technological challenges to public service in the UK at a conference that was rich in comparative experiences, most notably from Latin America and Europe.
