As part of The Glasgow Lectures on Culture 2011-2012, Sir Clive Gillinson of Carnegie Hall, New York joined us at The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall to examine funding of the arts in Europe and America.

Sir Clive Gillinson began his career as a cellist, playing with the London Symphony Orchestra from 1976 to 1984, when he became its Managing Director, a post he held until his move to Carnegie Hall in 2005 where he took up the position of Executive and Artistic Director.
