British Ecological Society Annual Meeting 2022

The BES Movement Ecology Special Interest Group hosts its annual meeting in person on 7- 8 September 2022 in Glasgow.

Group image of the attendees of the BES annual meeting 2022The BES Movement Ecology Special Interest Group hosted its first in person annual meeting on 7- 8 September 2022 in Glasgow at the Graham Kerr Building.

The meeting took the theme of understanding animal movement in human-altered landscapes. We welcomed talks, posters and discussions on general issues with movement ecology and the effects of anthropogenic disturbance.

Keynote speakers

Over the two days we welcomed a wide range of talks and plenary sessions from a number of keynote speakers including:

  • Catherine Gutmann Roberts, University of Plymouth
  • Juan Manuel Morales, Universidad Nacional del Comahue
  • Theoni Photopoulou, University of St. Andrews
  • Navinder Singh, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences
  • Majaliwa M. Masolele, University of Glasgow
