Tuition fees for European Union students

Tuition fees for eligible European Union students will be paid to the University by the Students Award Agency for Scotland (SAAS).  You must apply for payment of your fees to SAAS before the start of each year of your programme of study.  If you do not apply for SAAS funding or SAAS determine that you are ineligible then you will become personally liable for your fees.

You can apply on-line  via the SAAS website  from April onwards. You should always apply as early as possible, do not wait for exam results or a firm offer. To ensure your funding is in place for the start of your course, you should submit a correctly completed application by 30 June. After you have completed your SAAS application, you will receive a SAAS reference number. Please keep a note of this reference number as you will need to know this in order to complete financial registration in MyCampus.

Closing date for applications - If you submit your application late  you may not receive any support. The closing dates to apply for support depend on when you start your course. For the majority of students who start a course in the autumn term, the closing date for courses that start between 1 August 2011 and 31 March 2012 session is 31 March 2012. For closing dates  for courses that start at other times please check the SAAS website .

SAAS will assess your entitlement and send you an award notice which will tell you how much you will receive and how it will be paid.  Please keep this letter safe as you may need refer to it.   If you have not heard from SAAS within 28 days of submitting your application, please contact them.
