New British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Andrea Blomkvist from 1 January 2024 to the CSPE. She has won a prestigious British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship, to work with Professor Fiona Macpherson, on the topic of the imagination. The position will last for three years. Concurrently, Dr Blomkvist will hold a University of Glasgow LKAS (Lord Kelvin/Adam Smith) Fellowship.
We are delighted to announce that Andrea Blomkvist has won a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship and a University of Glasgow LKAS Fellowship, which she will take up from 1 January 2024, at the Centre for the Study of Perceptual Experience (University of Glasgow), working with Fiona Macpherson.
Her project is 'Re-making Mental Imagery' and will develop an account of mental imagery as a natural kind, looking at neural mechanisms, different types of imagery, the contribution of episodic memory, aphantasia, and more! The project will feature some cool experiments using VR, EEG, and eye tracking.
