As part of the launch event accompanying The Trembling Museum, The Hunterian will screen excerpts from the remarkable archive of filmed conversations between curator Hans Ulrich Obrist and Martinican poet-philosopher Édouard Glissant. Created across several years of friendship and dialogue, the films show the breadth, creativity and urgency of Glissant's thinking, and include extended discussions of the concept of 'trembling'.
Manthia Diawara, co-curator of The Trembling Museum and frequent collaborator with both Glissant and Obrist, will be present to give a response to the films.
