Legrand Jäger is a multi-disciplinary creative practice researching design and technology based between Berlin and London.Their work investigates how the designed world, especially emerging AI technology, is shaping ethics. Their films, performances, soundscapes and objects have been shown across Europe in museums including Palais de Tokyo and Van Abbe Museum. In 2018, they were designers in residence at the Design Museum London and are currently Format Fellows at Z33 Hasselt.

In their talk, Legrand Jäger will discuss how they have used artificial intelligence as a medium and a topic especially as it pertains to surveillance like facial and voice recognition.
They are interested in the interfaces that are designed to capture and use data and the ways that they, as artists, can expose them — for instance by making various data collection mechanisms visible to users.
