‌Chance Operations & the Event Score

Saturday 20 June 2015
1.00pm – 4.00pm
Meet at The Hunterian Art Gallery

Artist-run workshop with Raydale Dower exploring notions of chance and experimentation in sound. Through a series of re-created event scores, Dower and 12 participants will take part in a series of playful performative re-enactments of seminal sound works. The 3-hour workshop will draw from Fluxus and the work of artists Yoko Ono, Steve Reich, George Brecht and John Cage.

Raydale Dower works with sound, object and performance. He is particularly interested in gesture, sonic space and sculptural form. In 2011 he presented Piano Drop at Tramway, Glasgow, capturing the anarchic act of dropping a piano with high-speed photography and ambisonic sound recording.
