Field archaeology
This is a two year Certificate programme (currently in year two), the aim of which is to introduce students to the fundamentals of archaeological field survey and British, especially Scottish, archaeology. Subjects range from aerial photography to archaeozoology with a particular emphasis on field survey techniques.
The Certificate in Field Archaeology (120 Credits at Level 1) is taught over 2 years. Courses include evening meetings, weekend visits and fieldwork. Students are encouraged to make a contribution to original research.
