Graduate Skills Programme (GSP)

The Graduate Skills Programme (GSP) is the College of Social Sciences' employability award.

It has been designed to help undergraduate students and postgraduate taught students in the College make the most of their time at university and enhance their transferable and employability skills.

In an increasingly competitive job market leaving university with a good degree may not be enough on its own to land you that first graduate job. GSP will help you to develop the skills you need to Postgraduate coursesucceed in your academic studies and your future career, and will help you to market yourself effectively to potential employers. It will allow you to reflect on all of your university experiences and consider how they contribute to your personal and professional development.

Increasingly employers are looking for a broad range of skills and experience from their graduate employees. GSP combines the following key skill areas: 

GSP gives students recognition for activities and experience not traditionally covered by their particular degree programme. GSP is free to join and open to undergraduate and postgraduate taught students of any level in the College of Social Sciences.
