Research

CRCEES brings together specialists in a wide variety of research areas within the Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, who have the requisite knowledge for understanding the legacies and problems of the post-communist world, and who are acquainted with the principal theoretical frameworks relevant to this region.

We are home to the Europe-Asia Studies journal. It is the principal academic journal in the world focusing on history and current political, social and economic affairs of the countries of the former Soviet Union, Eastern Europe and Asia.

Lossi 36 was initially created by students on the Erasmus Mundus IMCEERES programme. It brings news, analysis, and photography from Central and Eastern Europe, Russia, the Caucasus, and Central Asia. It is committed to providing high-quality content while shining a spotlight on the work of students and up-and-coming professionals
