Alumnus wins International Society for Air Breathing Engines Award

Emeritus Professor Herb Saravanamuttoo won The International Society for Air Breathing Engines (ISABE) Award for 2019

Emeritus Professor Herb Saravanamuttoo (BSc Mechanical Engineering 1955) received The International Society for Air Breathing Engines (ISABE) Award for 2019 for his outstanding contribution to Airbreathing Engine Technology. The prestigious award was presented by Professor Pericles Pilidis of Cranfield University, also a Glasgow graduate, at the ISABE conference in Canberra, Australia.

Previous notable winners include Sir Frank Whittle, inventor of the jet engine.
