UofG Aberdeen Club Annual Dinner 2023

Published: 12 December 2023

The Annual Dinner of the University of Glasgow Aberdeen Club was held this November.

One of the oldest UofG alumni associations, the University of Glasgow Aberdeen Club, celebrated their annual dinner on Friday 10 November at the Royal Northern University Club.

Members and Guests had an enjoyable meal and interesting speeches from The Rev. Dr Iain C. Barclay, Vice-Principal Professor Moira Fischbacher-Smith and Sheriff Annella Cowan.

The President of the Aberdeen Club, Sheriff Douglas Cusine, presented the University with a cheque for £600 for the Student Hardship Fund. This donation will directly support students facing significant challenges as a result of current financial pressures.

The event was supported by the UofG Alumni Office with Laura Morton attending her first Club dinner as Legacy Philanthropy Officer.

The Club meets three times a year, plus extra informal evenings, and is always keen to welcome new members. If you are based in the Aberdeen area and interested in joining, please contact Club Secretary Evelyn Dobson at evelyndobson8@gmail.com
