Why study in the city of Glasgow?
Living here in Glasgow and studying at the University of Glasgow adds up to one of the UK's best student experiences so it's no wonder that our students are some of the most satisfied. We're rated 5th in the UK for overall student satisfaction (National Student Survey, 2011).
Whatever you're into, you'll find it in Glasgow.
- Renowned live music scene - crowned the UK's first UNESCO City of Music in 2008 and hosts over 130 concerts a week in a great range of venues, such as King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, o2 Academy, Barrowlands and the SECC
- One of the best club, pub and bar scenes in the UK - attracting top live acts
- Convenient location - if you enjoy getting 'out and about' Glasgow's ideally situated to explore all that Scotland has to offer, with Ireland, England, Wales and Europe also on our doorstep
- A wealth of arts and cultural venues along with a vast array of festivals from music to art, comedy to literature and everything in between
