Mayfest

This collection includes programmes, press cuttings, some business papers including accounts, box office returns and minutes.

Mayfest started in 1983 in Glasgow, and was an annual city-wide festival of popular theatre and music featuring performers from around the world. It was a joint initiative between Glasgow District Council, the Scottish Arts Council and Strathclyde Regional Council, and various commercial sponsors.

The last Mayfest was in 1997 and the festival has now ceased.
