King's Theatre, Glasgow

Costing over £50,000, the King's Theatre, Glasgow, was designed by the theatre architect Frank Matcham and opened on the 12th September 1904. It has played host to top stars over the years including Sir John Gielgud, Katharine Hepburn, and Lord Laurence Olivier.

In September 1967 the King's was sold to Glasgow Corporation and on 30 September 2002 Ambassador Theatre Group took on the management of the King's (Glasgow City Council remains the owner). The theatre continues to present first class musicals and pantomime alongside a wider range of drama, dance and comedy.
