What to do next

If your place is confirmed

If you met your conditions, we have confirmed your place. Please visit our offer holder website to see what happens next.

You might also want to check out the new student website for all you need to know about joining TeamUofG, including information on how to register and enrol for your degree

If your place is not yet confirmed

This means we have not yet received confirmation that you have met all conditions of your offer. In which case, please log into your University of Glasgow Applicant Self-Service account and review your To Do list for any outstanding actions.

You will have received details on how to do this in your original offer email, alternatively check out this guide.

Once we receive all outstanding items, we will review and update the status of your offer. This will be viewable in your UCAS account the same day after 5.30pm.

If you have any specific queries or issues regarding your 2021 offer

For non-Clearing offers, please send your query via our Enquiry Form and we will review it as a priority. If you are Unconditional Firm but wish to be released from your Glasgow offer, remember you can do this yourself via the Self-Release option in your UCAS account.

If you are Conditional Firm and wish to be released from your Glasgow offer, please complete our Enquiry Form, select subject Clearing, and advise that you wish a Clearing release. These will be fast-tracked with releases visible on UCAS Track as soon as possible.

If you have not met your conditions and we have withdrawn your offer of a place

You will be released in to Clearing and this helpful UCAS guide will take you through what to do next.

Plan to Appeal Your Grades

If you plan to appeal your grades, it is important that you let us know as soon as possible using our Appeal Notification Form

Successful appeals

If your appeal is successful and your grades improve to meet your conditions, we will do our best to confirm your place, provided we receive this information by 8 September 2021. 

If we receive confirmation of increased grades after this date but before 26 January 2022, we may be able to defer your place to September 2022.

Students in Scotland

You can register your appeal directly with the SQA from 25 June-27 August.

Students in the rest of the UK

SDS Result Helplines

Whatever your provisional results, you have options and support over the coming weeks.

Skills Development Scotland (SDS) is Scotland’s career service and they're providing support to learners, parents and carers from mid-June until after results are confirmed on 10 August.

Help on Results Day and beyond

Call 0808 100 8000 from 8am on Results Day, Tuesday 10 August to speak to SDS expert advisers about college and university vacancies, result confirmation and Clearing. They can also advise on Foundation, Modern and Graduate Apprenticeships, jobs, volunteering or staying on at school.
