Clinical Examination Routine

It is very helpful to have a set routine for performing a full clinical exam because it helps to prevent you from forgetting to do something. Here, we will demonstrate a routine based on sides of the animal - with procedures to follow on each side of the animal given on separate pages. However, the actual routine that you adopt is not important and other routines such as those based on body systems also work well. The important thing is that you develop a set routine that you are comfortable with, and then stick to it.

You can either go straight to a specific section that you need to revise, or work through the whole section starting and ending with the tail end of the animal.
