Undertake a 5–week hospital
attachment in a psychiatry unit where
they put their knowledge
and clinical skills into practice on patients
nSSMs
(Student Selected Module):
These comprise 5 week uninterrupted blocks and provide the students with an opportunity to study subjects of their own choice
in depth e.g. psychiatry. There are a total of 7 SSM
throughout the medical course
