Dr Keila Meginnis

Biography

Keila is an Economist who received her PhD in Economics from the University of Manchester (2018), MSc Economics from the University of Edinburgh (2014) and BS in Economics from the University of Puget Sound (2013). She worked as a research assistant in the Lamberton Lab researching health interventions in Uganda. She then worked at the University of Stirling as a research fellow on The Economics of Marine Plastic pollution. 

 

Research interests

Keila is interested in One Health and Environmental Economics. Keila specialises in Discrete Choice Experiments, but has used a breadth of other economics and econometrics methodologies. She is interested in environmental, One Health, public health and behavioural economics. Her previous research has looked at preferences for reducing marine plastic, health interventions in Uganda, the illegal wildlife trade in Indonesia, traditional markets in China, and exploring strategic bias in discrete choice experiments.
