The later history of ancient Egypt 2B

This Level 2 course builds upon critical skills and historical knowledge acquired at Level 1, and covers the background necessary for students to read and write effectively about the history, religion and social life of the ancient Egyptians after the New Kingdom from the establishment of the Ptolemies c. 300 BCE until the end of pharaonic rule and the establishment of Christianity in Egypt c. 350 CE. Students will study politics and religion in Egypt at this time, and also learn about the wider history of the ancient world as revealed through Egypt’s interaction with other nations.
