Biography

I am a Research Associate at the Centre for Public Policy at the University of Glasgow, with particular interests in spatial planning and urban design. I am part of the ESRC-funded International Public Policy Observatory (IPPO) project, where I lead Scotland's 'net zero' and 'place and spatial inequality' work. I have previously been a Research Associate at the Cambridge Centre for Housing and Planning Research (CCHPR), and a Research Assistant on 'Real Estate, Place Adaptation and Innovation within an Integrated Retailing System' (REPAIR) at the University of Glasgow.

I completed a collaborative PhD with West Dunbartonshire Council at the University of Glasgow, on the local implementation of national urban design policy - titled ‘Creating well-designed places in Scotland: What does it take?’ I have an MRes in Urban Research and an MSc in City Planning and Real Estate Development from the University of Glasgow, and an MA in Geography from University of Cambridge. My teaching experience at the University of Glasgow includes undergraduate level social and public policy, and postgraduate level city planning and urban design.
