Research Interests

I study urban and regional development from a multidisciplinary perspective, combining the insights from economic geography, urban geography and urban planning. My research area mainly focuses on China and my specific research interests include:-

  • Urban planning and policy
  • Land use and urban form
  • Polycentricity
  • Social changes and spatial inequalities

Additional information

I attended University of Glasgow in 2016 for my PhD study and became a research member of the ESRC and NFSC co-funded project in the meantime. Prior to that, I worked as a senior consultant for two years and participated in several 13th five-year plan, strategic plan and master plan projects for Chinese government, e.g. Beijing Tongzhou district, Donghu High-tech Zone, etc. I have previously studied at Peking University in China and completed my MSc in Human geography in 2014. I also received my BSc and BEc (dual degree) in 2011.
