Research Summary
Greek-Roman political philosophy and literature.
Early modern political thought, esp. the theme of rise of modern state and civil society, ranging from Renaissance to eighteenth-century.
Contemporary political analysis, such as Max Weber, Carl Schmitt, Leo Strauss and Cambridge School.
My postgraduate research concentrates on David Hume’s theory of commercial states in international background.
