The John Smith Centre is delighted to be recruiting for a John Smith Centre Research Associate with expert knowledge in the areas of public opinion, political participation and engagement, and political representation to make a leading contribution to the project: The Public Understanding of Public Service.  

The project is designed to deepen the Centre's understanding of how the public view and evaluate the role and performance of public servants, especially elected representatives across the UK.  It will involve the development and fielding of a substantial online survey following an extensive review of the existing theoretical and empirical research in the field, to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications.
