Dr. Kirsty Ainsworth is a lecturer in psychology. Her research interests lie broadly in the area of sensory perception, autism, mental health and pedagogy.
She obtained her PhD from the University of Glasgow in 2017 before pursuing a postdoctoral fellowship at the Perceptual Neuroscience Laboratory for Autism and Development at McGill University, Montréal. During her fellowship, Dr. Ainsworth worked within the Transforming Autism Care Consortium (TACC) network and trained under the Quebec Autism Research Training (QART) Program (provincial) as well as the Canadian National Autism Research Training programme. She joined the School of Psychology and Neuroscience as a lecturer in 2021.
