PsyRING translates understanding the biological basis of psychiatric disease into the development of new therapies, creating solutions to unmet clinical needs.
There are large gaps in the understanding of the genetic basis of psychiatric disease, and huge challenges in translating that knowledge into the development of urgently needed new therapies. PsyRING addresses both these issues through its expertise in clinical and preclinical neuroscience, and advanced molecular biology, imaging and behavioural techniques.
Developing from a long standing industrial partnership, PsyRING now provides an expanded high-quality service to companies working in psychiatric and neurological disease. This is combined with a strong academic research focus.
We offer a range of collaborative opportunities and contract services.
PsyRING represents a collaboration between the University of Glasgow, University of Strathclyde, and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
