Dr Kevin Wilson-Smith

Research interests

Dr Wilson-Smith is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Glasgow in the UK and specialises in three main area of practice; Military Psychology/occupational trauma, qualitative research Methods and; psychometric testing. He is the Programme Director of the MSc Psychology Conversion (online) programme and course leader for Research Methods and Social Psychology. As part of this role he currently supervises a number of research projects particularly with students who engage in interpretative phenomenological analysis, and regularly publishes both textbooks and papers in the field of Military Psychology and Psychology pedagogy. . As an experienced Military Psychologist, Dr Wilson-Smith has expertise in psychological assessment and measurement, leading to his appointment as an occupational test verifier with Psychological Testing Centre (BPS) and is currently one of only a few Psychologists able to provide training in the BPS Test User Forensic qualifications. He has a number of national and international professional memberships and affiliations including being a Chartered Psychologist, a Chartered Scientist, an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He is also the Vice Chair of the Division of Academics, Researchers and Teachers in Psychology
