China Scholarships Council Scholarships

China Scholarships Council Funding is available for CSC scholarships in the School of Physics and Astronomy. These cover the costs of 4 years of study for a PhD degree, including air fares, living costs and a waiver of tuition fees. Applications are welcome from all eligible institutions, but preference will be given to the following Universities, with which the University of Glasgow already has formal collaboration agreements:

  • Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT)
  • Nankai University
  • NPU (Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an)
  • South China University of Technology (SCUT)
  • Shenzhen University
  • Sun Yat-Sen University
  • Tianjin University
  • UESTC
  • Xian Jiaotong University
  • Wuhan University
  • ZUEL (Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Wuhan)

Candidates should apply to the University of Glasgow by 31st January.  The strongest 3 candidates will be selected by the School of Physics and Astronomy and will then be considered by the College of Science and Engineering and offers to the successful applicants will be sent out by the end of February.  Successful applicants then need to apply to the CSC in China for the CSC scholarship.
