Grant Funded 

During my Honour's project I worked with Xenopus Laevis, investigating reactive oxygen species (ROS) and excitotoxicity. Here I gained experience in; behavioural analysis, drug manipulation and immunohistochemistry. 

Throughout my MRes I worked with Drosophila investigating the manipulation of the a subunit in different populations of neuronal Na+/k+ pumps and its effect on locomotion. Here I gained experience in;dissections, genetic manipulation and calcium imaging. 

My research interests involve ROS and the role it plays in disease and neurodegeneration. I am also interested in Python and task automation.
