Noncommutative algebras and variation of GIT

Abstract
I will report on work (IMRP 2008) which connects the representation theory of rational Cherednik algebras to resolutions of singularities of certain orbifolds obtained from quiver varieties. This connection has some interesting conjectural consequences, and there is nice algebra which must surely mirror derived equivalences in algebraic geometry.
