Andy: Rowing Director at University of Glasgow

My name is Andy and I'm the Director of Rowing at Glasgow University. I work full time within the Sport and Recreation Department and provide the structure, training program and coaching provision to the 120 rowers of our boat club.
In addition, I have been appointed head coach for the Scotland women's rowing team for the past two years and I have an active role in guiding Glasgow University rowers towards the Great Britain rowing team for selection for the Under 23 World Rowing Championships.
I attained a 2:1 in Physiology and Sport Science so to be back working at my alma mater in the sport I love truly is a dream come true for me.

Seamus: Specialist Clinical Physiologist

My name is Seamus and I graduated with a BSC in Physiology and Sport Science. I now work as a specialist clinical physiologist. My day to day role involves carrying out tests on patients to aid in the medical/ surgical management of their symptoms.
To do this I use numerous pieces of specialised equipment from exercise bikes and treadmills to ultrasound machines and body plethysmographs. For
example, I use the cardiopulmonary exercise test to interpret the physiological response to exercise from rest to the physiological limit.
