Biography

Dr Katherine Price is a lecturer in medical physiology and human biology at the School of Life Sciences. After graduating in medicine (MBChB), she followed a clinical career, completing training in Emergency Medicine, gaining a CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) and worked as a hospital consultant.

Transferring to a career in medical and life sciences education, she has a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education, is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a University of Glasgow Senior RET Fellow and a member of the University of Glasgow Teaching Excellence Network.

Research interests include:


Active learning in life science education, particularly problem based learning and interdisciplinary topics


The effectiveness of learning communities to support staff development
