We are delighted to report that Professor Simon Guild has been re-appointed Head of the School of Life Sciences for a period of four years.

Professor Dame Anna Dominiczak, head of College of Medical, Veterinary & Life Sciences, said: "I am delighted to advise, after consultation with all colleagues in the School of Life Sciences, Professor Simon Guild has been re-appointed as head of the school until 30 September 2023.

"We wish Simon warm congratulations and continued success."

Prof Guild said: "I am delighted to be offered this opportunity to continue to serve as the Head of the School of Life Sciences.

"I am very grateful for the confidence shown in me by both the School and College and consider it a great privilege to carry on in this position.

"I will do my very best to help the School on its upward trajectory to greater successes."
