The School of Life Sciences Athena Swan self assessment team convened for their quarterly SAT meeting earlier this week and were thrilled to welcome two staff members currently on maternity leave and their beautiful babies.
Dr Michelle Welsh brought baby Isabella and Dr Vic Paterson brought baby Harris to the Sir James Black conference room to the delight of colleagues.
Mrs Julie Alexander, Professor Olwyn Byron, Dr Jenny Clancy, Dr Eilidh Ferguson, Mrs Keilly MacDonald, Dr Donald Reid, Mrs Swati Ubbara, Dr Nicola Veitch, Mrs Angela Watt, Dr Stewart White, Mrs Tracy Wilson, and Miss Katie Goldie were all in attendance to discuss Athena SWAN action points.
These included supporting carers in Life Sciences, plans for the next International Women’s Day event, and ideas for Wellcome Trust grant applications.
Career Break & Flexible Working convener Dr Veitch said: "The SLS Athena Swan Self Assessment Team met on Monday and we were delighted to welcome two staff members attending with their babies."
