The School of Life Sciences has helped fund a book called The Amphibians and Reptiles of Scotland. The book is written by one of our lecturers, Christopher McInerny, and by Peter Minting from the Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Trust.

Not many people would think of frogs, toads or newts when thinking about Scottish animals, however this book proves that they are fascinating creatures and provides a history of the challenges that they've had to overcome. The book also gives us an understanding of what these creatures look like through some brilliant photography and the different characteristics between males and females.
