The Validity of Forum Selection Clause and Its Applicable Law
Jiao Long is currently a LLM by Research student in the School of Law at the University of Glasgow. His project in International Private Law focuses on analyzing the validity of forum selection clause in international civil and commercial cases and applying which country’s law to decide its validity.
From 2014 to 2017, Jiao Long graduated with a master degree in International Law, specially International Private Law, from China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL). His dissertation researched the validity of choice of court agreements.
From 2010 to 2014, he completed his undergraduate degree in Law at CUPL during which he took part in an exchange program with California State University of Long Beach (CSULB). His focus on International Private Law was reflected in his bachelor’s dissertation which examined the Renvoi system in International Private Law and discussed China’s legislative choice.
