UK Student Mediation Competition 2020
Last weekend the School of Law played host to the UK Student Mediation Competition 2020, following its win at last year’s edition at the University of the West of England.
14 teams of student mediators from law schools across the UK gathered from Friday 24th to Saturday 25th January to take part in group and individual simulated mediations, which were assessed by a panel of judges.
Congratulations to the Canterbury Law School team, which won overall prize, as well as taking 1st and 2nd places in the individual mediation contest.
Queen’s University Belfast placed 2nd and University of Edinburgh placed 3rd overall respectively.
Glasgow’s team of Sarah Harper, Daisy Bentley, and Laura Townsend won 4th overall place and Laura also placed 4th in the individual mediator competition.
