Biography

Ahmad has a bachelor degree and 10 years’ experience in physical therapy and rehabilitation, and a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from the Institute of Community and Public Health (ICPH) at Birzeit University, the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) . His dissertation was about Youth Wellbeing in the oPt, a mixed methods study. Ahmad has one year work experience as a research assistant in the ICPH at Birziet University, then he was awarded a HESPAL scholarship to study PhD at the University of Glasgow. Ahmad joined the MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit in September 2018 and his PhD will focus on the relationship between physical characteristics of neighbourhoods on the physical and mental health of the residents in the twin city of Ramallah and al-Bireh, in the occupied Palestinian territory.
