Briefing – multiple exclusions and health
The MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit has published a new briefing: "Review of published evidence about the health of people experiencing co-occurring homelessness, imprisonment, substance use, sex work and/or severe mental illness"
It summarises a recently published paper that found people affected by multiple exclusionary processes experience profound health inequalities.
The briefing has been sent to key policy contacts including those at Scottish Government, Public Health England, Glasgow City HSCP, Community Justice Scotland, and the UK Faculty of Homelessness and Inclusion Health.
