Brian Bluck Medal: First awarded in 2016, this medal is in memory of Professor Brian Bluck BSc PhD DSC FGS FRSE who died 19thJune 2015. Prof. Bluck’s career is summarised in obituaries by the Geological Society of London and Royal Society of Edinburgh. The medal and monetary prize from the Geological Society of Glasgow is awarded to the best performing student in Earth Science honours. The award comprises a medal and a monetary prize.
