Geographic Object Based Image Analysis (GEOBIA) with Machine Learning to classify channel pattern in tropical rivers
My current research interests lie in the fields of fluvial geomorphology, remote sensing, hazards management, and numerical modelling. I am particularly interested in the hazards and vegetation influences on river patterns and sediment transport. My research focuses on applying remote sensing methods to river channel researches, including the vegetation changes and dynamics of hazards. Such data also provide innovative parameterisations for hydro- and morpho-dynamic numerical models. Meanwhile, I am now proposing to do further researches on the river catchments planform and resistance to hazards in the form of numerical modelling.
