The Summer Placements for 2018 will be located in Edinburgh. This site focuses on developing radars, integrated defensive aids systems, infra-red countermeasures and laser products for many different platforms.
When you start at Leonardo you will be joining a whole community of other placement students from a variety of engineering disciplines. This provides you with a great opportunity to get help and advice as well as make friends who share the same interests.

Summer 2018 Internship:
We carry out work that spans the full engineering lifecycle, from research through design and manufacturing to support. You could have the opportunity to develop new technology using the latest tools and equipment, to design, build and test new products.
You will get a chance to make a genuine contribution to some very important, real-life projects, while applying the knowledge that you’ve gained from your studies in a practical way. We have a wide variety of programmes that include electronic-based engineering (whether that’s digital, analogue, microwave, firmware or at system level), so there are plenty of projects on offer and a lot of different challenges to enjoy.
Summer Placements usually run from early June to August, however these dates are flexible. Rate of pay depends on year of study and ranges from £16,413 - £20,200.

Degree types considered: MEng degree in Electronics related discipline.
Residency: All students MUST have a minimum of 5 years' permanent residency in the UK and be able to obtain the appropriate level of security clearance.
Bachy Soletanche Ltd is a specialist geotechnical contractor that delivers design & build solutions to all sectors of industry – private, commercial, transport, infrastructure.
We offer a wide range of techniques from small diameter CFA piling to large rotary bored piles, embedded retaining walls (secant, contiguous and diaphragm walls), restricted access piling and more specialised options such as grouting and ground improvement.
We rely on our in house expertise to design alternative solutions, and operate a large fleet of mixed rigs.

Prepared to learn new skills and techniques in a field they will not have covered in their studies.
Good at working in small teams and ready to demonstrate their ability to take on appropriate responsibility.
