Petroleum Experts Limited has donated 10 educational licences of the IPM suite (10 x PROSPER, GAP, PVTP, MBAL, REVEAL, RESOLVE licences), the equivalent of £1,483,741.60, to the University of Glasgow.

Dr. Vihar Georgiev awarded European Industrial Doctorate Program 'Defect Simulation and Material Growth of III-V Nanostructures (DESIGN)'

Dr Vihar Georgiev is the project coordinator and principal investigator of the MSCA-ITN-EID project “Defect Simulation and Material Growth of III-V Nanostructures European Industrial Doctorate Program (DESIGN - EID)”. The project provides funding to employ three Early Stage Researchers (ESR) to work in collaboration with IBM Research Zurich (Switzerland) and Synopsys QunatumATK (Denmark).
New Investigator Award from the EPSRC to Dr. Cristina Gonzalez-Garcia to enhance living tissue repair.

Dr. Cristina Gonzalez-Garcia has been recently awarded the New Investigator Award from the EPSRC, as her first grant. This three-year research project, in the area of healthcare technologies, will aim to develop “New bioactive polysaccharide-based hydrogels for growth factors delivery during tissue repair”.

Alasdair is a Senior Lecturer in the Biomedical Engineering Research Division. His paper on an artificial whisky-tasting tongue was a world-wide news story this summer. In September Alasdair was part of a cross-disciplinary team of academics from 3 Universities that were awarded a £5.1M grant from the BBSRC to study RNA-splicing.
